Red White and Blue Margaritas for 4th of July Party

Got 3 blenders? Well you know the blenderking kitchen sure does and for 4th of July, we like to make a 3 layer margarita for our 4th of July parties!. Even if you don’t have 3 blenders, it’s still easy, just have some additional pitchers available (chilled preferably). Ready? Let’s go:

Start with the blue layer down on the bottom: Make a batch of our deep blue margaritas:

Now for the white layer. Tropical Coconut!

For the red layer on top, you have a choice, either our low budget raspberry marg’s or our tasty strawberry recipe. We tend to favor raspberry with the middle coconut layer ourselves!

To hold the layers better, use a little more ice than usual so you’ve got a thicker margarita – thick enough so you need a spoon to assist you in getting the tasty elixir out of your blender.

Our blender threw up all over the machine that runs this site, so in the meantime, we’ve put up a simple design to serve you (and no ads either, not like y’all we’re clicking on them…)

We’re Live, We’re Live, We’re Live

You’re looking at the newest re-design of blenderking.com! Welcome! Not everything is quite set, so come on back over the coming weeks to check things out.

First of all, you might notice that we’ve switched to a complete blog format. I really like how easy Word Press makes it easy to run the site now. There’s lot of options available and a bunch of plug-ins available to enhance the site. I used to run the site by coding my own templates using Cold Fusion, but simply don’t have the time to code the site myself anymore (wish I did, but perhaps another time).

You’ll notice that all the recipes are backdated a bit. I decided to keep the original dates that I posted the recipes to the internet. My original recipe, which I’ve been making since about 1991, was originally posted to the internet in 1995. It wasn’t until October 2000 that I registered blenderking.com as the permanent home for the recipes.

The site is also RSS enabled too, so it’s easy to get updates as we post them. More on that later. Lots of features being added too.
