Spike’s World Famous Margaritas

You should know: This is it. The original. The classic. The spectacular Spike’s World Famous Margaritas!

I’ve been making this recipe for over 10 years. It’s the secret ingredient…lime marmalade…that makes this one the best.

You can’t go wrong with Spike…and his world famous margarita!

Here’s what you need to make it (per blenderful): 6 ounces Tequila, 2 ounces Triple Sec, 6 ounces Sour Mix, 2 tablespoons of Lime Marmalade, Ice

And how to do it: Pour ingredients except for the ice into your blender and blend for about 15 seconds, Now add the ice and blend for 30+ seconds. Pour into margarita glasses (salt optional) and enjoy! When you’re friends ask you about how you found this recipe…tell them about your good friend Spike at blenderking.com!

Spikes’s World Famous Margaritas sound yummie. Where do I find the lime marmalade ?

Hi Susan,

I’m going to create a page with links about lime marmalade shortly. If you live in the northeast, Wegman’s carries Rose’s Key Lime Marmalade - highly recommended!

Spike

I tried your margs and they were very good. Have you made any of these on the rocks and if so did you change the recipe any?

Made your Margaritas last weekend. Very good. Had to order the Lime Marmalade (Rose’s Key Lime) off the internet. Found it here in Wisconsin at http://www.madeinbritainltd.com I only added enough ice to get the Margaritas cold as I like mine on the rocks. Tried them without the Marmalade. Took one taste and added the Marmalade. I was suprised at the difference it makes. Will definately make this recipe again.

Neil,

Did you add any additional water to the mix when you made these for over the rocks?

Nope, Didn’t think to do that. They were good as made. May try that next time though as they started to burn the innards after awhile. Have you tried them yet?

I’ve been making these for years, thanks to you Spike! This year I had a harder time finding the marmalade. The WHOLE FOODS grocery chain had it here in St. Louis, Mo. Perhaps other cities have those types of stores, for example TRADER JOE’S or some like that? This recipe is worth the search!!!! Thanks.

delicious, and for any other aussies out there, the lime marmalade in question is available here down-under too, at IGA, Coles, etc.

good work (y)

In Seattle, WA you can find Rose’s Key Lime Marmalade at Ralph’s Grocery Deli on 4th Ave (Near the Cinerama Theatre). A bit pricey, but I haven’t been able to find it anywhere else.

I am currently living in Bangkok Thailand and we love your Margaritas.Currently trying to track down THE ultimate lime marmarlade for the classic. If anyone has the answer please let me know. Meanwhile I will try to survive on all the other variations. Thanks.Hi to anyone who has been to Margarita Station in Angeles City Balibago Philippines.
